Marcus B. Moffitt attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, Minnesota, and Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in the spring of 1970.
In July of 1972 he accepted his first full-time associate ministry at First Baptist Church of Leadville, Colorado, working under Pastor Kenneth D. Dobson. His responsibilities were particularly related to working with youth and music.
Pastor Moffitt was ordained in May of 1974, and accepted his first full-time senior pastorate and moved to Ordway, Colorado, in March of 1975.
In the fall of 1975 the Ordway Baptist Church began a Christian School ministry under the direction of Brother Moffitt and his wife. The enrollment was around forty students that first year.
The church and school ministry were continued under the leadership of Pastor Moffitt until he and his family accepted a call to share in the work at Bible Baptist Church of Missoula, Montana, in July 1984. Here he assisted the senior pastor, Robert Allen, as associate pastor and principle/ supervisor in the Bible Baptist Christian School until Brother Allen accepted a call to a new ministry. Then Pastor Moffitt was called to be the senior pastor of the church.
In July of 1991, Pastor Moffitt assumed the pastoral work of the Calvary Baptist Church of Sheldon, Iowa, where he has continued to minister until the present.
